Shahbaz Bhatti, a member of Pakistan’s Parliament, indeed the cabinet, was murdered yesterday in Islamabad.
A terrible tragedy for Pakistan.
And surely yet another abomination in the eyes of God.
Along with Salmaan Taseer, a good man who had chosen to stay and fight the good fight instead of legging it for greener pastures abroad.
Terrorists have murdered some of Pakistan’s best and most decent people in the past few years: Hakim Said, General Mushtaq Beg. Not to mention the countless innotice women, children, and men. They’ve now killed two of the few Pakistani politicians who stood for principles other than themselves.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Bhatti’s family.
